A&E - "Crime 360"

The A&E network original crime series “CRIME 360 “ introduced a whole generation of TV viewers to the Leica ScanStation. Seen by over 300 million people worldwide, it took viewers inside actual investigations as they unfolded, using 360-degree digital photography, state-of-the art 3D laser scanning and incredible CGI (computer-generated imagery) visualizations to bring the evidence, and the evolving theories about what happened, to life. The Leica ScanStation was an integral part of each episode.

In a Crime 360 video, Forensic Tools, Jessica Kline of Richmond Forensics explains that the Leica System freezes the crime scene in time by using a laser to record millions of data points that provide a 3D image of the crime scene. View the video clip.
