Connecticut State Police Use ‘Super-Sophisticated’ Approach to Solve Crime

The Connecticut State Police have a new way to continue their investigation in a virtual environment long after investigators have left the scene. "It's measuring a million points a second,” said State Police Sgt. Mark Davison of the agency’s new Leica ScanStation PS20 laser scanner. “It's taking 270 photographs per scan. And all of those points are relative to each other and to the position of the machine in 3-D."
